Peru, Day 1

We left the Galapagos for Peru on Wednesday, and arrived in Lima on Wednesday night. We were only in Lima for a few hours, though, because our flight for Cusco left early on Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, we visited the Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley):

There, we got to feed some really cute alpaca:

We also saw some local Peruvians making handicrafts (which were surprisingly expensive to buy):

We spent some time at an enormous, maze-like market:

Finally, we visited some Incan ruins. I have not included a picture because those ruins were nowhere near as exciting as Machu Picchu, the mother of all ruins (photos of that will appear later in the blog).
