Hello, Cuenca!

After Papallacta, the four of us headed to Cuenca, Ecuador´s cultural capital. We took an overnight bus, which took about 10 hours. Cuenca is known in Ecuador for being a very advanced city, but the four of us could not help but notice how it has retained an old world charm. Our hostel in Cuenca is adorable. So far, the food in Ecuador has been incredible, even for us vegetarians. However, last night, we went to a restaurant where I ordered macaroni and cheese and received Kraft macaroni and cheese dressed up with some tomatoes and peppers. I didn´t mind, though; it felt sort of like comfort food. Tonight, we are heading to an Arabic restaurant and a bar for my birthday celebration!
